Thistles to Get New Compost Corner

Earlier this year Thistles was awarded £800 by the Lincolnshire Community Foundation.

This money will be going towards a new compost area which will consist of three bays made from concrete and breezeblocks. Each bay will be numbered for ease of use.

The compost area will be built by the Community Payback Team.

We would like to thank housebuilder Gleeson Homes for their kind donation of 300 breezeblocks, Travis Perkins for their help delivering materials, and Payne’s Gardens and Landscaping for the loan of the cement mixer.

We’re looking forward to this getting new facility completed and producing some lovely rich compost for our market gardeners to use!
